Apple releases new hardbound book chronicling 20 years of Apple’s design
Apple is already 40 years old on the market, and over the last four decades the company has launched hundreds of products, from computers to video game consoles.
Well, to celebrate its 40 years the company has decided to launch a hardcover photo album that shows some of the most iconic Apple designs of the last 20 years.
The book that is dedicated to Steve Jobs, will be released tomorrow at Apple.com and Apple stores in the United States. It will be available in two sizes. The small will cost $ 199, while the large will cost $ 299.
The cover of the book is completely white with the Apple logo embossed on the front cover. On the side you can read the phrase "Designed by Apple in California".
The book does not contain any text. It is a collection of 450 photos taken by photographer Andrew Zuckerman. There is no backgrounds and the products seem to float in the air. The album begins with the first iMac in 1998 and ends with the Apple Pencil of 2015.
To be honest I find it a bit strange to see a technology company launching an album of their own products, especially if you are not going to give it away.
However, I think this could be a good Christmas gift for many Apple fans, and it will definitely be a hit in the Apple stores.
